i got these to decorate some desserts i had made for a luau-themed picnic and they were quite cute. there were some umbrellas that were broken right out of the box and some umbrellas couldn't stay open wide, so if you need 144 umbrellas, you might want to get extras because there are bound to be some that you can't use, unless you don't mind having umbrellas with holes in them. overall it was an ok purchase. the quality was in line with the price. you might want to check the dollar store just in case they've got them cheaper. i got lazy and just ordered them here w/o checking.

I love the looks of these, they are very brightly colored and pretty. They made my drink much more enjoyable. They are delicate, so be careful opening them up, but for the price I won't complain. They would be great for a party since you get so many in a pack.

Great mat that is inexpensive. Used for day trip to beach and worked great. Does mold easily if left outside.

I purchased two of these mats to use them (somewhat unusually) as a screen in my back porch. I will hang them to a couple of poles I installed for this purpose. I have seen many straw mats in my life and these look relatively fragile. They are also not terribly large, although I would likely find them adequate if I had to use them at the beach. Overall, the mats I purchased two years ago at World Market (for a similar price) were larger and significantly sturdier. Unfortunately I could not find the same products this year, which is why I decided to buy on Amazon. Anyway, these mats are OK but not great. On the other hand, they are quite inexpensive and I am sure they will be adequate for most people, including myself. I would most likely buy them again unless I found the World Market mats I mentioned above.

I haven't actually used it since I took to Trinidad on vacation and left it home when I went to the beach. I did open it though and it is quite large, probably sits 4 people or two lying down. This is much better than a towel or plastic throw since not much sand gets up through the weaves and it is somewhat water proof.

I bought two of these. One was perfect, the other had a small hole and kept deflating. They look exactly like the picture and are about 5ft tall when blown up. It was really cute and people complimented us on them.

The price was alluring - the shipping service was good - 1 of 2 purchased arrived with holes. When the co offered to replace the item, after the trade show, they sent it to the hotel where we had stayed, who then charged next-day express freight to forward a product that was completely different from the one originally ordered. Suggestion - spring for the extra $4-6/ea

this is a nice coconut palm tree, it is a little difficult to inflate the leaf and the green bottom ring needs more weight to keep tree straight. Over all it is look nice.

These flowers are not at all what was expected. They are huge and don't really look like the picture. I was buying these for young children and they are even to big for my head. I will be tearing them apart to make smaller flowers out of them. Also the clips are all pink, they do not match the color of the flowers and they are cheap plastic. The flowers are simply glued onto the clip and some had fallen apart before I even got them. I do not recommend these flower clips for anyone.

Very cute lights although the picture makes the flip flops look quite a bit bigger than they really are. Measurement of actual flip flops would have helped.

I have always dreamed of traveling to Tahiti. I have heard from friends that it is the closest thing to heaven on earth. Now I have the proof in this beautiful book. I happened across this book online and knew I had to have it. I love to entertain and try new cocktails with my guests. I can't wait to try so many of these exotic, but relatively easy to create drinks, such as the Mango Martini and the Bora Bora Margarita. Yumm! The photos of the drinks in this book are gorgeous, but the photos of the islands and the resorts are absolutely breathtaking! The author also included some very interesting facts about Tahiti and the islands' culture, that I know will be useful when I finally do get to visit. Which, since receiving this book, I hope to be even sooner than I originally planned. Thank you for this wonderful book. I would love to see a sequel...maybe appetizers or dinner entrees in Tahiti???

I originally bought this book several years. At the time, I figured the photos in the book would be the closest I would get to seeing Tahiti. The layout, stories, photos and cocktail recipes themselves, really makes you feel like you are getting to experience French Polynesia in all its glory (through the excellent presentation of the author - Richard Bondurant). Now having been to Tahiti, its been fun making some of the recipes that I enjoyed while on Tahiti and Moorea. So, whether you buy the book before you go in anticipation of a trip or following a trip to act as a memory trigger, just buy the book and enjoy!

After visiting Tahiti one realizes that this place is truly special, and like no other. This would include the cocktails made there. This book is a fun and experimental way of reminding you of the taste and smells of Tahiti intoxication and is full of great recipes.

I have not ordered this book yet, just found it here. We went to French Polynesia a few years ago and used this author as our travel agent. He was fantastic. I believe I had the "Tahitian Tea" drink shown, or something very similar, at the Vahine Island Resort.

The format of the book is very well done. Makes you want to go to Tahiti.

The first day on the beach was a disaster with this umbrella. First I tried to screw the lower pole into soft white sand of sunset beach, NC. Half way down I felt something snap..I pulled out the umbrella bottom pole and the screw end was gone !! I dug down and found it. It sheared off where it meets the metal pole. So I bought a beach screw locally. Day 2 a little windy..The top pole slides on to the bottom pole, no attachment to lock it in. So I found myself chasing the umbrella like a jerk down the beach. Day 3 Found the nearest UPS store and shipped back to amazon with NO problems.. Not Amazons fault, for a $61 umbrella I expect shade not aggrivation.

The Umbrella is exactly as described. It is really nice. Sam's was selling the same item for half the price. Unfortunately they sold out. I suspect the seller bought these from Sam's and was reselling them. That's not their problem. I was aware of the price and was willing to pay it. However, the seller advertised free shipping and handling. After $17 for S&H, I felt like their ad was misleading. This, on top of a price that was twice Sam's Club. The S&H did not show up at check out, but was added to the bill. I didn't question it. I didn't feel like the hassle. But it will a long time before I buy from Amazon again.

The umbrella with its rainbow design looks great on the beach and it doesn't look to bad set up on the patio either. I've gone to the beach several times with my umbrella and it hasn't budged once despite the windy conditions. At first I was hesitant because it does have some plastic features, but it lives through the windiest conditions. I'm not afraid to get it wet either. The last umbrella I owned rusted right away after I got it wet. With the Aluminum and fiberglass design, I don't have to worry about that at all. It's nice and big too for at least 3 people to fit under lying down. I am so happy with this product and highly recommend it.

Product as specified. The spiral auger is built into the pole so need to carry an extra sand grabber around- light weight- made of quality material- best beach umbrella Iv'e purchased yet.

I'm quite surprised with all the positive reviews. This umbrella is poorly designed to handle windier beach locations. The top shaft with the umbrella ends with a short, about 1.5", tapered end that is inserted into the bottom shaft which goes into the sand. In windy conditions, all the pressure is on that short tapered end and surely enough, the 3rd time I used it, it bent and then sheared off right at that spot. Also, this model has some cheap clear plastic cover for the tip of the umbrella that can easily split and break if it hits the ground. Considering when you store the umbrella in the carry bag, it is stored upside down, I imagine it will break for most people eventually. Since then I've bought a Tommy Bahama 7' umbrella. While this one is not perfect, I bought it because there is no tapered end that is used when the umbrella is put together. I can adjust the clamp for the poles anywhere along the bottom shaft. So in windy conditions, I keep the umbrella a little closer to the ground and clamp the umbrella lower down the bottom shaft to give it more support.
